Shaw the CO side I refered to is thier DSLAM and 5ESS solution. Westell went after a XDSL solution for the Lucent 5ESS CO Switch ( The most popular CO Switch Installed WORLD WIDE.) I heard RUMORS that Verizon was working on software for the 5ESS and Westell equipment, this is good. I have watched the growth in the Transport Group REV's and am encouraged, I am just absolutely confused was to why all the Street Guru's are only interested in MODEM's, ok modems are great but the High Margin EQ is in The CO, the DSLAM's or the Line cards for the 5ESS thats what I want to know about. I live in a former GTE area, now Verizon The biggest problem I had getting ADSL was that the TELCO couldnt get the DSLAM Equip from Alactel it was back ordered and had NO Idea when it would get here. You would think they would be looking at other equipment providers. Now Granted GTE has not installed alot of 5's in thier CO's and seems to be using Alactel DSLAM equipment I am sure that came from The JPC contract ..oh well babbling again
