Paul Erdman's view on the dollar, euro and gold -

cbs.marketwatch.com

{ If this amazingly long url doesn't work,

go to www.cbsmarketwatch.com

Section - news and commentary
Then Commentary tab
then find Paul Erdman
then look for dollar and gold story }

Basically says

1) the dollar is better than the Euro because of better economic expectations.

and

2) dollar is better than gold because there's no inflation. (! - it seems that he hedges a bit here )

Points out that big money is still going from Europe to the U.S.

Mr. Erdman has occasionally leaned toward the hard money side, although not a gold bug.

My view on this is that the collaspse of the Euro will prop up the dollar relative to gold.
So the strong dollar game will go on for some more time...
