Now, that's where Mr Raimondo gets it all wrong... True, "billionaire Joerg Haider, aside from his xenophobia, is nothing but Newt Gingrinch in lederhosen". However, Austria and the EU on the whole are NOT merely a rehash of the United States mit sauerkraut!! And nothing illustrates better the cultural chasm between Europe and America than the current Bush administration and its minority personalities.
No, the real danger facing Europe today is not the Communist/Marxist scarecrow --it's Neo-Fascism on the rise.
