<Doug how did you do regards the floods?> Comparatively, I think we (the family) were very lucky. We had two cars parked on the street; my daughter's was flooded to the bottom of the dash, mine only had about 4 inches in it. Nothing in the house. Our neighborhood drained within about 2 hours of the rain letting up. Of course that was Friday night, when the whole city went. When Allison initially came in on Tuesday, parts of the city received between 5 and 12 inches. But that was a separate deal.

Last tally for Houston/Harris County that I heard was 35,000 homes flooded, and only (only) 20 deaths. Considering the severity and the speed with which it occurred, I would say we all got off very lightly. I hope others in the path did as well. (What part of FL is Hands in?)
