Re: "Big picture"

The "big picture" is quite clear here. The Street absolutely loathes this sector and wants nothing whatsoever to do with it. The tape is shouting this message loud and clear. Funds which were tempted to bottom fish here in April are getting their quarters vaporized and as a result are stampeding for the exits. I get the distinct impression that a lot of managers took Friday off and felt blindsided by Friday's action so they are making up for it by panicking today.

I don't expect this to stop until we reach the end of the quarter. Then we have the actual bankruptcies of the weak companies that aren't going to make it to look forward to--all of which probably means at best a choppy road to recovery for the rest of the year. At some point GX will manage to differentiate itself from the TSIX's and the MFNX's in the minds of institutional investors but until then its best to lower expectations, turn off the quote screens, and enjoy the Summer.
