There have always been abortions and there will
always be abortions. The question is only whether or not they are safe and legal.

Well, there always have been and always will be wars, murders, domestic violence, mothers who throw their babies in trash cans. That doesn't suggest to me that the only question is whether to make these things save and legal.

Of course, if you think abortion is a good thing, then your point is reasonable. But that begs the question.
