Hi everybody. I've lurked on this thread since 1996, and orginally bought AMAT while reading Cary's Blood thread. There have been a number of classless attacks on Cary on this and the JDSU thread.

I would like to thank Cary for the following reasons: (1) I have learned much about the Semi Equip industry from him; (2) his posts (with the exception of his political posts) are exceptionally perceptive and thoughtful; and (3) his insights have contributed to my profitability--including his 1996 advice to buy semi equips, and his recent call to sell AMAT shortly after the beginning of this downturn.

I find it interesting that there has been so much discussion about optical equip suppliers on this thread recently. It has mirrored my own increasing interest in this sector as valuations have become reasonable. Apparently most here share a similar investment philosophy that involves buying Gorilla technology companies at panic prices.

Well it has been nice to find my voice and introduce myself.
