Hi Rob, Well the spin is surely tainted.I for one think the Company did an excellent/conservative job managing a very tough market. One of the BIG POINTS made by Larry was the same quarter last year was a tough quarter to top. Dot.coms with IPO money on a buying spree - they're gone and Oracle has been embraced by "OLD TECH" as an efficiency tool.Not a bad COMPLETE CHANGE of customer base - to go out find ,pitch, sell, and receive money for - All within one year. I have a commercial dept at my dealership and believe me I didn't find a whole new owner base of buyers within the last year. Think about it - how many of your customers are repeat at your work place? To rotate to basically an entire new customer base in one year is more than just good selling and closing - it is your product being sought out. This is a great omen for the future in my way of looking at things. I'd say Orcl has a great chance to surprise over the next several quarters - This quarter being the first of a long streak quarter featuring consistent growth. THIS IS STRONG!!! JMHO The spin put on the home page of SI is herd like negative at the start and then warms up. I would have thought the credit for overcoming what'san obviously difficult quarter would have surfaced more equitably. The guy who wrote this definately screams "kill the christians" when in Rome. I guess I'm too close to this company's excellent effort - After all there aren't a whole lot of heros left :Csco, NT, JDSU,and many more didn't make the cut,would've thought the cost controls and increased margins would've at least gotten an atta boy.Herd mentality amongst mediocre reporters is my spin. JMHO Bob I'm not letting a cripple kicker form my opinion.
