Lost Data on a CDRom
1. what operating system are you running? Win98SE
2. what browser do you use? Netscape 4.75
3. briefly describe the problem. I use a HP8100 CDRW like a hard drive. I kept adding and updating files without any thought about what would happen When it ran out of room. The numbers at the bottom every time it was opened Were ok. It lied. When it ran out of room, it told me there were 0 free bytes of data & 0 bytes available. I now know that the data has to be downloaded to The hard drive & the CD reformated on occasion. Hindsight is so clear.
My question is: Is there any way to recover the data on the CD?
4. how long has it been happening? Once was enough.
5. what are you doing when the prob occurs?Updating an existing file
6. any error messages accompanying the problem. Don't remember.
7. what have you tried so far to remedy the problem? Nothing. Beyond me.

Thanks any and all for any suggestion

Pete
