Hi all; Samsung, Toshiba, and Elpida support new DDR SODIMM memory, but ignore RDRAM SO-RIMM memory:

Samsung DDR SODIMM page includes complete data sheets, dated June 2001, and listing nine parts as available as engineering samples:
samsungelectronics.com

Samsung even has a DDR Micro DIMM page, with part numbers, but parts are not available yet:
samsungelectronics.com

But Samsung has no part numbers for the extra wide RIMMs they've talked about in press releases, nor even for RDRAM SO-RIMMs, at least where I could find them.

Similarly, Toshiba's list of modules and availability dates includes DDR SODIMMs, but no SO-RIMMs. In addition, there are no RDRAM parts with availability listed in the future. This means that development of new RIMMs has halted at Toshiba:
toshiba.com

Elpida also shows DDR SODIMMs, but no RDRAM SO-RIMMs, or, again, any speeds faster than PC800:
elpida.com
elpida.com
elpida.com

All indications are that RDRAM development has halted at Samsung, Toshiba and Elpida, at least as far as their websites indicate. But still press releases supporting Rambus get released. Anyone suppose that Samsung is puking up some of their RMBS stock? LOL!!!
