A coon won't attack you if that's what you're worried about. Now if a pet goes after a coon you'll have a very large vet bill.

Mainly they do a lot of damage if they try to get into the house or tear the garbage apart. The biggest danger is they can carry rabies, do carry ticks and fleas and round worms.
