No Cary,
It is you who has missed the point. You see, I have lost a lot of money in the stocks. And I have been told over and over again that in the long run stocks are the winners and that buy and hold is the best strategy. I had no problem with this during the bull market. But now that I have lost money, my patience is running low and my skin is too thin. Granted, you did not cause the market collapse. In fact, had I listened I would have come out with a good chunk of my winnings. But I just didn't understand why would anyone ever sell stock in a good company. After all, if in the long run stocks only go up, why should I care how much I pay for it; the money is as good as cash so if I wait long enough (I keep telling myself that everyday). Now you come along and say that there may still be a down side to the stock based on historical valuations and past patterns. I am sorry, I just can't be tolerant of ideas I find disturbing. So stop this bullshit and short the stock...but please, don't turn the argument around and ask me to take a second mortgage on my home and use my children's college fund to buy AMAT on the margin...I just can't take it anymore.

Sun (I also vote for those who tell me what I want to hear) Tzu

PS Not all of us are impatient due to the market collapse; some of us are naturally intolerant.
