Intraday Investments Trading Summary for Monday, June 18, 2001

We came into today long JPM and PVN. We were stopped out of both positions early in the session for losses of $0.50 and $0.60 respectively.

Our intraday short trades included BRCD, QLGC, NVDA, IDPH, and GILD. We covered BRCD for +.40. We covered 1/3 of our QLGC position for a $0.93 profit, another third for + $1.31 and were going to carry 1/3 overnight but decided to cover the position in the post market for + $2.80 due to the market reaction to Oracle’s earnings. We covered our NVDA in two parts…the first half yielding + $1.00 and the second half + $4.15. We made +.70 on half of IDPH and + 2.25 when we finally covered the second half of this trade. GILD yielded a .75 profit before dropping another 1pt after we covered.

TXN was our only long trade of the day and due to market weakness, we sold the position before it hit our stop. The net loss on TXN was -.12.

All in all it was a very good session, even though we languished in a trading range for most of the day. We are headed into tomorrow's session flat and look to pick up where we left off today!
