I suspect that "mass thread psychology" came into play here with the snively, sophomoric banter that you and the others participated in. Not unlike "Lord of the Flies," really. Wouldn't you agree? One thing led to another, and before you know it, it became a full-blown attack based on no real premise. Perhaps your son's next term paper can deal with the subject of group psychological attacks on moderated threads.
