Communist and former communist countries have higher rates. Vietnam has a rate over twice as high as some of the countries you listed. So how does religion justify the deaths of the mothers?? I'm just wondering... It doesn't have to justify the deaths, it did not cause them. The death is caused by the abortion. The responsibility for it is shared by the person providing the abortion and the person receiving the abortion, unless someone forces the woman to get an abortion in which case the person or organization forcing the woman to have an abortion is responsible for it instead of the woman.
