And, BTW I thought flappy said he was a union member? Ergo, by definition he doesn't have a real job and could not possibly be a "working man." LOL! Actually, your brush is a bit too broad. While featherbedding, etc. does take place behind the union label, real work gets done, too. Although sometimes you wonder how. I'm back (for the third time) at Lockheed-Martin. They are union. I'm an engineer- -a non-union salaried professional employee. In the manufacturing areas, if I need to have something- -anything- -moved, I have to get a union guy; I can't do it myself. If I need to have an oscilloscope set up and adjusted, I have to get a union employee to do it- -in spite of the fact that most of union "electronic technicians" couldn't do it if they had a guide dog. I generally let them fumble around for a few minutes, the quietly take over and do it myself. Gotta get the job done somehow.
