The ability to discriminate presupposes a Quantity of Experience. Life has many different degrees or senses of Being. They are not mutually exclusive; but intertwined. They are like steps on a ladder. To climb a ladder, one needs to utilize each step or otherwise one could fall and break one's neck. The same applies to descending from the ladder and experiencing life all over again from a fresh point of view.
