have you considered a satellite system? One of the small-dish networks (I've forgotten which) offers PC/Internet service, and the downstream is pretty fast with the upstream also at a good rate, as I recall. The "small-dish" refers to the size of the antenna, not the network. Out here Sprint offers something similar but I've heard that the transmission rates are too variable. The price seems to be the same as @Home or around $46/month. If your line-of-sight is OK then it would be worth investigating, IMO. Dee Jay
