Here is some news on liberate I acquired from another board. To the best of my knowledge (which is limited ) Liberate has WIND inside. Liberate in China interactive TV deal By Allen Wan, CBS.MarketWatch.com Last Update: 8:24 PM ET June 18, 2001 SAN CARLOS, Calif. (CBS.MW) -- Liberate Technologies entered the booming Chinese cable television market on Monday, inking a deal with China's leading set-top box maker to supply interactive software and services for millions of cable subscribers in the mainland. Liberate will invest an undisclosed sum in a joint venture with Global Net Broadband (GNI), which makes set-top boxes for one of China's largest cable operators, Guangdong Cable Radio and Television Station. Guangdong Cable has a network covering more than six million cable subscribers, Liberate said in a statement. China is the world's largest cable market with more than 80 million subscribers, said Martin Peng, CEO of GNI.
