Kent and all - interesting article in the July 1997 Wired magazine by Michael Murphy, publisher of the California Technology Stock Letter. Here's the best quote:

"The long term picture for technology has not changed. The massive shift from a mass production consumer economy based on oil to a technology economy based on semiconductors will continue to generate investment opportunities for years to come.

This is a correction; nasty but transient. Ultimately, it will mean very little to your long term rate of return. Take advantage of the reduced prices of [technology] stocks to the exent you can; that is the intelligent investor's response to a correction.

Believe it or not, before long people will be griping because they did not buy when they had the chance."

Best - Joe
