The reason I picked the McDonald's in Peoria as opposed to, say, Ottumwa, Iowa, or Paducah, Kentucky, is because of the saying: "But how will it play in Peoria?"

Peoria = any community in America's heartland that represents traditional values.

Hence, Peoria = Anytown, USA.

You just happen to live near there.

Re the union matter: In a 12-month period, I probably huddle with someone on union business during company time maybe 15 to 20 minutes total. That's 15 minutes in a 12-month period, not a 12-hour period. That's not rape. That's not even foreplay. It's a furtive glance, at the most.
