Delgratia named in lawsuit

NEW YORK, June 13 (Reuter) - Delgratia Mining Corp was named as a
defendant in a shareholder lawsuit filed in a federal court in Nevada
that claims that the company misrepresented one of its gold prospects,
attorneys for the plaintiffs said.

The Vancouver-based mining firm announced in May that an auditor found
evidence of tampering at one of its core samples from a Nevada gold
mining property.

Delgratia, which was delisted from Nasdaq after the announcement, said
in May that it has requested that law enforcement officials investigate
the tampering.

Weiss & Yourman, attorneys for the shareholders, said the lawsuit is on
behalf of all purchasers of the company's common stock from November 18,
1996 through April 11, 1997.
