OT: Thanks for the reply, Jim. Sounds impressive -- and tasty. I've heard about using newspaper for mulch. Back in olden times, one couldn't do it, because of the lead in the ink, but now it's OK. (All of this is TA-related, so no complaints, lurkers. Each gardening tip is a coded trading tip.)

S'all flowers here. Nothing edible, except for the deer, rabbits, moles, bugs, etc. They like to munch on lilies, euonymous, mock orange, roses, whatever. They're the market makers of gardening. They can make or break everything, and they get their cut of everything.

It's a good place to be, a garden, when the market is going nowhere.
