Close A disappointing day in the market today, but at least we did not mark an 8th consecutive down day for the Nasdaq (just barely). The Nasdaq gapped up at the open on a decent Oracle (ORCL 16.76 +1.92) conference call but the excitement did not last long. Traders eventually decided that Oracle's call was not all that bullish as the company missed on the top line and was vague about AugQ. The strange thing is that many tech stocks gapped higher at the open only to sink into the red, but ORCL was able to hold onto its gains.
