It appears that ULBI is expanding the primary battery side of the company. This is just an educated guess on my part, however read the job description below that is taken from the ULBI web site. New equipment and product development stand out. It is difficult in today's economy to find companies that are expanding. Ulbi is the exception to the rule. Other issues that are favorable to ULBI include cheap energy costs and a very good labor pool due to other companies in the ROC area down sizing. Manufacturing Engineer The individual in this position is responsible for process development, definition, and execution to support the Primary Battery Manufacturing organization. Projects may include coordination of new equipment (including specification, installation, qualification, and transition to (production), process improvement and cost reduction, and new product development as part of a cross-functional team. Individual must have good communication skills, be able to coordinate multiple projects and deliver on time. Qualifications include: BS in ME&EE or ME&EE Technology; computer literacy; knowledge of GD&T and DOE's desirable. Will consider all levels of experience.
