Yeah thats it. Assuming all the intangibles really are worthless. At times they certainly are. At times they aren't. Arguments on this issue run deep and complicated. One thing for sure $58 Billion worth doesn't exist. But sme amount probably does for an intact workforce, established business, technology purchased, etc. Maybe tops $5 Billion worth.

Their size does distort the balance sheet, so I would prefer they didn't exist on paper. It confuses the whole issue for some people.

Best thing anyone can do is back them out completely. Out of assets, out of stockholder equity.
