"The statistics show no such thing." statement WAS referring to my statement--which you have correctly (and oh so diligently) divided into the separate components of A and B. You might have acknowledged, then, that you were referring to both A and B, and that therefore a fair re-statement of your response to me (leaving aside the needles repetition of A) would read somewhat like this: "THE STATISTICS DO NOT SHOW THAT RELIGIOUS OPPOSITION ENDANGERS MOTHERS."

B in this case was exactly (and I quote) "but only endangering mothers". In that statement B cannot be completely separate from A because of the word only. Also I was objecting to the whole statement which included "the religious opposition was not reducing abortions". So your statement "You said that the statistics showed no such danger to women!!" was not true but it does not appear to be a deliberate lie or distortion. Going over and over again about it probably isn't worthwhile.

You did include part A (that religious opposition to abortion was not reducing abortion) from your statement but if you want to either drop it now, or atleast consider the second part of the statement (that religious opposition to abortion endangers women) in isolation, then I am willing to do so. I do think that illegal abortions are typically more dangerous to the woman then legal abortions. I also agree that laws against abortion are more likely in a climate where there is strong religious opposition to abortion. However IMO the moral responsibility for the danger to the woman is shared between the person performing the abortion and the person making the decision to have the abortion.
