Kevin,

The price of $100 per square foot is absolutely bogus. That was a quote from someone who seemed to be making an estimate for Electro-Chromic Technology and who seemed to know nothing about the SPD Technology REFR uses.

Note what I told you. Asensio quotes press articles with mistakes in them and does not ask the company to let them correct it. This is a sign of a manipulator, not an independent analyst who really wants the facts to make an informed decision. Further, he spent time with the company months ago and they were willing to answer anything. Was he sloppy or is he biased. I have no doubts.

The company denies that price makes any sense. Numbers like $15 or $17 per square foot are more likely.

Plain glass has a cost. Hankuk has announced making film and their stated price for glass with film already on it is $400 per square meter or $37 per square foot. An estimate is that the film component is $17 and the glass $20. Obviously, you can attach the film to many kinds of glass or plastic and the cost of that can vary. In airplanes, the window is made of Lexan from GE.

With mass production, the costs of SPD may drop further. Consider that there will often be net savings as curtains and shades are not needed.

You would not believe the current costs of the fancy mechanical shades used in private planes that Asensio says are so much better. We are talking many thousand dollars per window and SPD will be a thousand or even $400 depending.

I repeat. Asensio made a bogus point on bad facts. You can verify my numbers as being more current and reflect more on how marketable the technology is. Asensio wants you to sell and will say anything to try to justify it. I won't. I have my shares and don't care if you and others do. The value will be based on royalties pouring in, not hype.
