Interesting posts/dialogue! i.e., "..should one buy now or wait..?" Per me, I'm asking myself 'should I hang in or sell?' Perhaps minimal risk exists in here seeing that it could retest the old Dec 13 low and even break that! On the other hand, ORCL and other software co's have initiated some rally...financials are starting to flicker, and Greenspan is telling the banks to not be a hard ass, so to speak, with lending out money!!! And, with 5 1/2 months into rate cuts we might soon see some economy upturn...(LOL!) and another 25-50 bp's can assumed for next week.

Bottomline, this market will only turn when 'Joe Layman' turns more confident about the economy and stock market!
Once that happens, the glut of inventories will go and an increased rate of new orders will take place...mho!

Re WCOM, the whole sector is sick....perhaps it may be a good time to hold and/or to dip in with expectations for a slow recovery...perhaps a rally to 17.5 - 18 by next qtr.

Good luck to all.
