QQV REFLECTING COMPLACENCY?
Monday, the Nasdaq-100 Trust Volatility Index (QQV - 49.00) closed at 49.78, while the Nasdaq Composite (COMP - 1992.6) closed below 2000. The last time the COMP pulled back to the 2000 level was on April 24. At that time, the QQV closed at 68.87. Monday's lower QQV reading indicates
less fear among investors at this time. April 24 became a short-term bottom for the COMP. Will the higher QQV reading now (translated: complacency) hamper the COMP from finding a bottom?
