The Prime Minister and the President - Beauty and the Bloat A Dud of State visits India --JPR
The general let the baton slip at the drop of a hat. Now that the general retired the baton, the uniform, and the hat and donned himself in sherwani, he is ready to meet Vajpayee, man to man, in civilian garb. Now he has the respectability of a civilian leader and can have a tete-a-tete with the the PM. I assume that he is too embarrassed to review the honor guard in India in a general's uniform, and see the Indian Generals, who lost men in Kargil, look at him in contempt, and derision and exchange snickers - candy included - among themselves. A civilian wear may soften the attitude of a receiving nation. How is this bloke going to stand the 110 degree oppressive heat in New Delhi with his pachydermal sherwani? May be he has a concealed A/C stitched in the liner of sherwani. If this bloke ever thinks of nuking India, the first ones to fall are the muslim monuments in and around Delhi and Agra. The venue of the meeting in Agra is just a reminder to the general that nuking India is no lesser evil than nuking 140 million muslims in India, which is equal to the whole population of Pakistan.
The general is a jack of all trades - read "a jackass of all trades". General, COLA, Chief Executive, President are impressive credentials for a visiting head of state - read "dud of state". |
