Sarmad, what's the story with Seagate?
Bye-bye, public markets. Seagate the manufacturer of hard-disk drives thinks its private status will help its long-term planning, including possible acquisitions to drive growth.
Business Week ranks Seagate the #2 top private info tech company with 2000 revenues of $6.6 billion.
Btw
Accenture (formerly Andersen consulting) my former employer is ranked # 1, with 2000 revenue of $10.3 billion, which should go public later this year.
I'm putting out a strong buy and hold on it when it does.
