adairm...actually that's what WILL happen as FIFO is the method Fidelity uses on this particular account...but on lotus spread sheet I have the option of keeping my books in the way that makes me feel like I've done the best possible thing -- which is to MAKE MONEY...I don't think I will have to lose any money in cien in the long run, because it's a company I STRONGLY believe in...although I'm sure the rule re: short losses is probably the better philosophy in this crazy market...Also, I'm hoping for a downdraft per Uncle Frank's grim outlook on the Fed rate cut and may close out my July35's for a 3 point profit and go back in and do it all over again.
