Jimmy, here's an interesting article regarding the jaz and Syjet.

July/August issue of Adobe Magazine (page 31) --
which is read mainly by publishing, design, and digital-media professionals. Under 'removable storage,' here's
what Adobe recommends:

'As you assess your choices, you may want to watch how the market falls out, particularly in the high end. Although SyQuest's SyJET has more storage capacity than Iomega's Jaz and is, according to SyQuest, somewhat faster, the Jaz got to market first and began building all-important momentum. Most industry watchers expect big things from the SyJET, but if the Jaz builds on its early lead, it may become what the smaller Zip drive already is -- a de facto industry standard, and the drive that colleagues, clients, and service bureaus are most likely to have.'<<

This may have been mentioned previously; these Rocker Partner Guys are the famous shorts mentioned in the WSJ article: they lost a ton of money shorting iomega.

>>John Reeder, an analyst at Rocker Partners in New York, said the swappable hard drive is one of the best removable storage products he has seen. "It solves the performance issue and the portability issue," he said.
