Interesting new Dell and AMD rumor. Personally, I don't buy it at all.

From Dell's perspective. How many of these things do we have to sell for it to be worth our time. We'll have to provide at least some level of support for them, and do all the work to to get them working, for just one sale?

From the client perspective. Why try and coerce Dell into building them? You can get them much cheaper from another vendor since you'll have to cover a large part of Dell's initial cost to put them together. Support won't be as good as from another vendor because you'll be the only one using the exact Dell line. The processor isn't proven, it's only been out for a month, and there is a non trivial chance that it could have some major problems (add into this that you have to be buying a substantial number of systems for Dell to do this special order for you, so you're taking a risk on a huge amount of systems).
