Can we be sure 22 cents is in the bag??? I haven't seen too many Duron or Athlon computers advertised in circulars from Best Buy, Circuit City, etc. That's got me worried. A salesperson from MicronPC (now owned by Gores Technology Group) said "it doesn't appear as if we are planning to develop an AMD processor laptop at this time". I think Intel had a fire sale on their huge inventory of unsold Celerons and PIII's this last quarter. The advertised price for their chips doesn't mean a thing. There was probably a lot of discounting, especially to vendors like Dell. This feels like "deju vu" all over again.
