Carol...thanks for your post of renewal...well done! btw, the panzanella luchessi (sp) is superb...and for all you gastronomes (gnomes?)...it is prepared by dicing several really good tomatoes, add extra virgin olive oil, a 'scosh' balsamic vinegar, chopped garlic (or garlic powder), sliced red onions, lotsa basil....do it in a glass bowl or pyrex dish...and let marinate in the fridge.... Eat as prepared or add a few croutons, some mozzarella sliced...oh...mais bien sure, a good crisp white wine!! Didn't mean to get tooooo carried away, but when you said you were growing tomatoes AND basil...well.... and Ed wouldn't have given a second thought to coming back if he'd known you'd be bringing him some of the above to the next meeting, for "hope springs eternal" in the turn of a good tomato!
