Hi Rarebird,

>>Here is the fundamental reality of the American Economy: it is no good.

I'm afraid we just don't agree. The economy is going from $150 a bottle of champagne to a $50 bottle..., and hard cider is a long way off.

I did read an article that said the household debt equals 14% over a families ability to repay, but this has been going on since the gold standard was droped and the world began living on borrowed money.

The world economy is living way beyond it's means, USA is in better shape then other countries. The friends I talk to on a regular basis are doing better now then they have in years and the cab drivers from the third world are happy to be here. Boston has more people of color now then the old Irish families..., for the first time in our history. This suggests our part of the world is doing just fine and sustaining growth.

I will say there's some interesting astro work that suggests the next 20 years maybe harder economically then the last 20 years.

You are right...! I need to spend more time outside and enjoying the sunshine of summer. This computer needs a rest...!
