True story: I hadn't seen an All in the Family rerun in years. This past Saturday night, some friends were over, and one of the old shows came on. Archie Bunker came in, and we started talking about what a great, great actor he was. I said, "didn't he die a few years ago?", and my friend said, "no, he's very much alive, but his son died", and then we talked about how nobody had heard much from him lately, and how he was a lot younger than he had appeared when playing Archie. Nobody had a bad word to say about him or his talent. A great one, no doubt about that. |
