Something, finally, for Jay to maybe play with ...

Watching one company appearing to be dying ... lots of deadly debt (3 bil), a bit of cash (3 qtrs worth), sales falling, market conditions changing, competition from telcos intensifying (web hosting is sometimes a loss-leader for telco when bundling services, deadly to pure-play hosting farms) like ...

Can be played on volatility straddle, or on dead-cat bounce. Do not like it as much as this next one (safer) ... opportunity shaping up with a company that was selling telco assets (as though they knew what they were doing) at peak prices and now flush with cash and distress opportunities ...

Cable & Wireless (CWP) - option-able

Low 3-4 P/E, and $10-12 cash per share, with no debt. Maybe part of the "global connected future" belongs to this company, and "cents on the dollar" distress situations should be plentiful for CWP.

Worth a DD and maybe a few short puts, at least; and maybe even a small starter long position after above Exodus chokes on a bone.

Chugs, Jay
