Of course, we are not. The web sites I am using (and that I presumed you were using in specific responses, such as the present) made it clear that CHINA was not being statistically represented in the overall analysis

So the most populous country in the world is just thrown out of the an of the analysis? Doesn't seem like a good idea to me, your ignoring over a billion people.

"Since considerably more then 1/3 of the women in the world live in undeveloped countries." If you will read the web sites I posted you will see that the categories were, developed, developing, and undeveloped. By eliminating the category of "developing" you have made your comments feckless as they relate to my post. But then, you knew that...

I didn't know that. It might have been in your link but to limit the time I spend dealing with SI posts I don't always read every link that people post, even if I do read the message. I'm more likely to quickly skim it or if there are many links in a post I'll hit some and ignore others. I spend too much time on SI as it is. You didn't quote or paraphrase the part about the distinction between developing and undeveloped countries.

By that breakdown I would think most countries in Africa would be undeveloped, since all your claims (or the claims made by your source which you are posting and supporting) are about "developing" rather then "undeveloped" countries having a similar abortion rate to developed countries it would seem that your argument pretty much rests on Latin America. You do answer the point about China but you conveniently ignore my points 1 India (with over a billion people) is a developing country where abortion is legal and where many abortions take place. It may or may not have a high abortion rate but unless the rate is amazingly low it would account for a significant fraction of abortions in developing countries and would ruin your use of "developing countries" as a proxy for "countries where abortion is illegal" 2 - The countries with the highest abortion rates have are developing countries where abortion is illegal. 3 - There are a great number of differences between developing and developed countries that can easily have a great effect on the abortion rate besides the legality of abortion. 4 - A number of abortions in developing countries do occur in countries where it is legal. Unless you have information specifically about the abortion rates in countries where it is illegal your statistics are close to useless. 5 - Even if I did accept "developing countries" as a proxy for "countries where abortion is illegal" and I dismissed any thought of the other differences besides the legality of abortion being an important factor, there is still the consideration that even your sources say that developed countries have a higher abortion rate then developing countries. There isn't a huge difference in rate but it is enough of a difference to reduce the number of abortions by millions per year compared to what they would be if the developing countries had the same abortion rate as the developing countries.

To sum up - I admit I missed 2 of your points (that where apparently made on a link you posted rather then in the actual text of your message), but you either missed repeatedly or are ignoring several of my points. If they are either faulty or not relevant then why don't you show how they are faulty or not relevant rather then bash me for weaseling or not seeking the facts?
