Geez, say something bad about a product and you hear it from everyone!

Yes, I am saying that the Zip is a crappy product that the STUPID mass consumer likes. Many people on this thread has said that the mass consumer is always right etc. NO, the mass consumer is a sheep. Something is not right just because an ignorant majority wants it.

A political analogy:
Just because someone gets elected president does not mean that he is the best candidate. It only means that he won.

I own Iomega and I bought it because I understand the appeal of the Zip to the mass stupid public. But please, don't try to sell me on the good points of the Zip as a technological wonder! It is a capitalistic wonder. It is a product that has poorer performance than its competitor, but due to marketing, it has won and become a standard. It's low cost of production makes it nearly impossible for a competitor to compete in a price war with the product. But... it still leaves the technical user wanting more.

I'm not replying to any more flaming threads. I think I've expressed my opinion clearly enough in this and past postings.

Alex's Dad :-)
