USPIX is a no load short NDX fund..and I buy/sell it in my IRA , min first buy is 5K ( with waterhouse )
but there is a $24 transaction fee.
Look this fund over carefully before you use it.
As it is a leveraged fund and moves 2 times the NDX percent ( each day )
So with 5K your like short the same as 10K ...and another thing if the market
moves up for several days in the row , it will lose more than 2X , same if the NDX
moves down several days it will gain more than 2X ..
You don't want to get married to this fund if the market goes up ..
The UOPIX is the long fund also 2X ..but remember that 2X expands fast
with each consistent move ..both ways so being on the wrong side of
the bet very long and you will lose more than 2X.
-------------------------------
Another thing I have to have my order in by 2pm Eastern time..to get the
closing NAV..the market can change from 2pm to the close..
so to take care of most of that I often buy ( or in my regular account short )
enough QQQ to offset most of the 2pm to 4pm move.
Then close the QQQ order right before the close.
--------------------------------------------------
Both of these funds are volatile and tricky as hell and while I use them I don't
recommend them to anyone who hasn't looked them over good &r paper traded
with them for some time.
-------------------------------------
BEARX is a short fund & not so wild
POTSX is also a short Nasdaq fund that's not leverage, I've never tried
to use it; so ask your broker about "fees" etc.
