They don't shove them in you mouth they just told you they were not harmful or addictive and gave them away free to kids to get them addicted which is exactly what they knew would happen. They targeted their advertising toward kids and adjusted nicotine amounts to guarantee addiction.

Perhaps you don't remember the book, "Unsafe at any Speed", by one named Ralph Nader. Do you remember cars without seat belts, air bags, cushioned dash boards, collapsible steering wheels, shatterproof glass, turn signals, rear tail lights, crash resistant bumpers, gas tank protection, etc etc....
