... "Quick! Draw your knife!"

Bugs Pond (our hero!) couldn't believe what Dundee had said. But, since Dundee had experienced more amphibian super-hero episodes than Bugs, he decided to follow Dundee's instructions.

He approached the nearest table, grabbed a handful of sludge from the floor, then spread it around on the table.

He then began sketching the outline of his favorite knife. All the surrounding reptiles watched him carefully, following his every move. When Bugs was through drawing his knife, he stood up and looked around for approval.

A few of the reptiles nodded their heads in approval. A couple shook their heads in disgust.

Dundee took one look at what Bugs had drawn ... then shook his head slowly, muttering to himself as he did so. He then threw more sludge on top of the table to obliterate the image.

"That's not a knife!", said Dundee. "THIS is a knife!"

Dundee proceeded to draw the biggest, baddest, sharpest, knife any of the reptiles had ever seen. When he was done, they all applauded his efforts. Dundee bowed graciously, then grabbed Bugs by the shoulder and headed for the hole in the wall, which by now was no longer blocked by the reptiles because they had all come over to the table to admire Dundee's drawing.

"Ahem!", came the gutteral sound from Gator King, just as Bugs and Dundee thought they had made a clean getaway.

Well, not really clean. But as clean as you can get when you're in a sewer with knee deep sludge.

In the background, Bugs recognized the tune of "Downtown", by Petula Clark. He caught a glimpse of Precious on stage singing her heart out into a tiny HamsterMike (tm). "I didn't know she could sing", thought Bugs. He made a mental note to himself, hoping that sometime in the future at a crucial juncture of a particularly exciting episode that information would come in handy.
