That is really great that the people you work with did a blood drive for this 12 year old girl.

Awhile back, I was challenged by Len G. to give blood. Which I had done after that fairly consistently. (Nothing compared to what Len has given, I believe he is working his way to have given 13 gallons!!!!!!)

He and I had discussed the difference SI could make if on every day of the year, one person from SI gave blood. We talked about starting a thread to encourage people......and see if we could get ONE person a day to post that they had given blood...or commit to a date, that they would give blood. So many lives are saved though the donation of blood, lives that would be lost if the blood supply was not met for the demand that is out there.
