I use the SP 500 Mini futures index. It took me a while, but I soon came to realize this futures index leads the markets by a couple of minutes, giving one enough time to buy. The chatrooms caught on to this fact years ago. Say futures are falling, the markets will be falling right along with this index, then begin upticking. I keep a list of stocks that follow this index up & down intraday, good market performers. One safe stock I play this way is INTC, but you usually only get a good fractional gain before the index begins downticking playing INTC, at which time I sell taking whatever profit the market has given. Of course I don't expect everyone reading this to jump in Monday morning and begin making money this way. Consider it a doorway which one may or may not enter to a new world of making money in the stock market.
