| Mike, you are a sleuth. According to the latest report as ofMarch 31,2001 and referencing from Jan 1, 2000 and the subsequent news from AGF last week. It shows that AGF is NOT SELLING any CNB or SWG, In fact, they have indeed acquired a whopping 1,635,900 shares on top of the 4,635,500 shares that were acquired by Mr Massie when he was with Global Strategy. MY APOLIGIZES TO THE PEOPLE AT AGF FOR MY MISALIGNED COMMENTS THE OTHER DAY. It seems that they are infact diversifying and acquiring both CNB and SWG in other funds which have not been reported in the newest report. Sometimes this happens when the amount of shares purchased does not fall as one of their top holdings in the fund. Although it would seem that the gold plus fund has lost 180,200 shares when comparing the shares listed from Jan 1,2000-Mar 31,2001. Mike you were right, they are both buying stock in the open market and are obviously allocating some shares from one fund to others. My guess is that some of the stock is being sold by one fund and acquired by other AGF funds, probably their resourse and growth funds. Very interesting to say the least. |
