You are right on the money. FSII hasn't had any new major orders. They are muddling along, sales are retreating, and they have made major investments in facilities which all add to the cost line. With declining revenue, its no wonder they are announcing a loss this week. It just takes a few big orders to get the ball rolling and then we will see the earnings forecasts accelerate.

There really haven't been any huge order announcements anywhere in the industry with the exception of AMAT. It just hasn't turned on yet. And now with all the announcements of lower PC demand and therefore pricing pressure on the logic manufacturers, it may be longer until we see a turnaround in capital spending.

Anyway, FSII with a book value of nearly $10 isn't too bad a place to have money parked with the market as crazy as it is. And when things turn, it will have a good appreciation.
