TP, what a wonderful vacation! I've thought about a camping trip too. I've heard that the full-size
inflatable beds for the tent are very comfy!!!

Were many tourists about? Did you make reservations for your camp sites?
What about the cats? Did a friend look pamper them for you and the family? (LOL)

The purpose of the Bush trip was for Mr. Bush to meet European leaders. The reviews were
mixed. One good point was that he and Russia's Mr. Putin behaved politely towards one another.
They both realize that they need each other, and they don't want another cold war. Mr. Putin has
his hands full with Russia's economic troubles. And there are plenty of economic problems in this country
such as the high oil and electricity rates.

A person to watch is Paul O'Neill, the Secretary of the Treasury. Finally, last week he sold his
Alcoa stock. He's resisted. He has wild ideas: get rid of corporate taxes, the
estate tax and maybe social security except for those who need it. I saw the reference when we
were in San Antonio but haven't tracked it down. He's also refused to investigate tax havens abroad
where the rich store their money.

Then, there is always Noxious Norton and the Toxic Texan. They wait for the opportunity to make their
next big kill on the environment in order to support their rich corporate friends.
